We've traveled 1.5-2 hours (depending on traffic) to eat at certain places. Umm now I'm hungry....

@Andrea: my sil was the only one.with me and she did a good job of distracting me so I wouldn't look. We had a layover in DC and that was easy to guess where I was because there were cardboard cutouts of the president. Then I just assumed we were going to NY so I didn't care to snoopy around. But I was very wrong.

@Andrea: I knew about the party, I just didn't know the location. And of course I know nothing about geography so when the flight info at the gate said Burlington I still had no clue!

@Andrea: We also vacation for food! My (surprise) bachelorette party was to Vermont because they have Ben and Jerry's. The whole thing was like one giant, weekend food tour. We went to an awesome farmers market food tour, Cabot Cheese, and we stopped at tons of cider mills. It was awesome.

DH and I are very willing to travel - we regularly drive an hour each way to eat. We have traveled a few hours, one way, upstate for food. We have taken vacations centered around food destinations. We will do anything for good food!
