I'm not too squeamish about stuff like that. Cold cuts I wouldn't touch past their date though. I find eggs I regularly eat past their date cause they always look fine and then I'll notice on the carton that they expired weeks ago. Still alive! When it comes to dairy an meat: I don't go near the date! With veggies, I will eat them, even if they're squishy.
