DS wore 12 month clothes for a long time. Probably from 9 months to 15 months. We bought him some 18 month clothes when he was arount 15 months old. He's almost 18 months old now and wears 12m & 18m.

I agree that their growth tapers off a little bit. Most kids finally all even out before two years. I think 2T would be a good size.

I think winter outerwear you can buy a size up, so in your case, it would be 2T. They do slow down a bit in their growth around 18 months, I think. If your LO is on the chunky side though, maybe 3T would be ok.. for us, that would have been too big.. too long in the arms and too loose. But both of my LOs are slim.

I want to take advantage of winter clearance right now and buy M some stuff for next winter including a coat. But I'm just not sure how fast they grow after they turn 1?

Currently she's 10 months and in 12 or 18 month clothing. So I lean towards buying her next winter's coat in a 3T but that sounds crazy because she'll be 18 months when the cold starts? But I do want the coat at least to last through the winter.

What size clothes and coat would you buy?
