RJ wore newborn or 0 months until he turned 3 months... then we moved up to 3 month clothes. It seemed like he's done that all his life-- as soon as he hits the age of the next size up, his clothes are too small.

I don't like him to be swimming in too-big clothes and we have TONS of hand-me-downs in all sizes, so we use the clothes until they're way too tight.

Baby Y was in them for over a month ... but he lost a lot of weight after birth. We actually had to go out and buy more since we didn't have much on hand. And then he was in the 0-3 stuff for a blink of an eye, he grew so fast.

We skipped new born clothes. My LO wore 0-3 month separates for about 3 months. She stopped wearing 0-3 onesies after a month though. I'm all about separates! They last longer.
At 8.5 months, LO's grown out of 12mos and 12-18 months onesies. -.-

Two weeks. I wouldn't get too much, you'll want to dress the baby in comfy clothes. As long as your baby isn't teeny tiny you can probably get away with size 0-3 months.

It was somewhere between 2 weeks and a month, but I can't remember. I wouldn't buy a ton of newborn stuff. Instead I would buy more 0-3 because mine was definitely in that longer than newborn stuff.

olive is almost 2 1/2 months old and is wearing 3 month sizes now. she was born a month early though, so that means she grew out of newborn sizes really fast! she's over 10 pounds now but was born at almost 5 lbs.

Lasted us about 3-4 weeks but the 0-3 sizes we also dressed him in and he is just barely growing out of that size now at 3.5 months. I honestly wouldn't invest much in the newborn sizes.

Expecting in Feb here and just had our shower this past weekend. For some reason, we got a ton of 3 month baby clothing and no newborn clothing. Hubs is 6'1 and I'm 5'8. I went to Marshalls today to "browse" and was wondering how much newborn clothing I would actually need. I know, I know, it's hard to tell because you don't know how big/tall baby will be when he arrives. Any advice?
