I hope to get at least 2 seasons of wear out of them. Crocs rain boots, for instance, I prefer to buy 2 sizes up. Her autumn/spring boots I bought in Feb and they still fit (I think it was 1.5 sizes up). Her new winter boots (still in box) should barely be a size up when she wears them. </p> <p>For summer shoes (sneakers &amp; sandals), I buy in her current size. His last sizing was in early March, so he's ready for new shoes. He was complaining about a pair being too tight. The lady at Stride Rite said that's an indication to come in for new shoes. Some kids go through two sizes in a few months, others stay in a size for 6 months. So it's hard to tell what size he will be wearing in February. We will buy new shoes in Sept that I will plan on him wearing until December--if they still fit in Jan, great, but I am probably going to have to buy new shoes in Dec/Jan.
