$783/month just to HAVE medical and dental for the three of us. It went up 27% this year. 80/20 with a max of $2500 out of pocket per person in network (that doesn't include any of your co-pays, of course).

Well I'm in Canada so major medical costs are covered, but I do pay around $30 a month for dental, professionals (masseuse, physio, etc) and eye care and little to no deductible.

Mine sucks. I'm self-employed, so I have independent coverage and it's $230ish a month. It covers nothing related to pregnancy or fertility, and has a $2500 deductible. It would be $600+/month to add me to my husband's plan, so at least it's better than that?

Mine is excellent but I work for a very large corporation. They will pull $160/month out of my salary (pre-tax) for the baby and I, but I have no deductible. It is $80/month for just me. Maternity and baby coverage is excellent ($20 up front copay, nothing else, well baby exams are free, etc) and there hasn't been anything, aside from copays, that I've had to pay out of pocket. When the baby comes, I'll be getting an FSA so that childcare costs are tax deductible. It includes vision and dental, too.

I never realized how good ours is until I started reading about everyone's insurance experiences here. There are no deductibles, although our co-pays for specialists are $40. For OB/maternity care, I pay $20 at the first visit and then nothing else. The actual delivery might be treated like a hospital stay - $100/day? All labwork is covered 100%, which has been really helpful with our infertility stuff.

I think my insurance is pretty good. It’s Cigna and my contribution is about $80 per pay period (so, $160/month) for just me. My co-pays are $20 for a regular doctor visit and $30 for a specialist. My max out of pocket is $1500/year and maternity coverage was covered 90%. ER visits are $200 and Urgent Care is $50.

That doesn’t include vision or dental – both vision and dental are less than $10/pay period, but they also stink for coverage.

Ours is really good (paid nothing for maternity care and birth of my second baby) but the premiums are higher. It's worth it for us. It includes super super basic vision and dental so we do buy supplemental dental insurance since I have horrible teeth (genetic).

The coverage my company offers isn't very attractive. So, I switched to my husband's for next year. His insurance is awesome compared to mine.

My company:
~$55 per paycheck (I get paid bi-weekly). This covers medical and dental. Vision is $7 per paycheck but I opted out of vision coverage for 2012. Preventative care is covered 100%. I have a $4,000 deductible, $4,000 max out-of-pocket before insurance kicks in 100%. The deductible/max out-of-pocket jumps up to $8K for family. Ouch. Since DH and I are TTC...I'm switching to his plan, which is...

DH's plan:
$122 per paycheck (bi-weekly pay - this is for family coverage - his single coverage is the same amount as my company's premium). This covers both medical and dental. We're picking up vision for 2013 through my company (his co. doesn't offer vision).
$300 deductible, insurance kicks in covering 90%. Our max-out-of-pocket is $1500.

@purrpletulips: Haha wow, I thought my state university insurance was good, but dang! Yours takes the cake!

I have a 70/30 with 700$ deductible and 5000$ out of pocket. It costs me (just me, no one else on the plan) about 90$ a month. Vision and dental are about 40$ extra a month. My DH has the exact same insurance but since he works for a smaller company, his out of pocket is more like 300$ a month!

I love our insurance. I pay around $260/month for me, DH and DS. We have $0 deductible and $0 out of pocket for all in-network providers. We basically just have to pay copays. My labor and delivery was a $250 copay and I used my FSA to pay for that. Vision is covered by my company. Dental is around $50/month but we have the most expensive plan since I needed a lot of dental work last year. They also have infertility coverage, but it does max out at $10,000. I need to check and see how much of it we used when we were trying for DS.

Our plan is about 850 a month, and my husband's work pays 730 of that. Our deductible is 2100 and out of pocket max is 5000. For maternity care, it's 75/25.

I pay just a lil over $200 a month for me and the hubby. Vision and Dental is extra, but it's less than $10/month for the both of us.

Deductible: $500/individual
Out of pocket max: $1,500/individual then they cover 90%

Mine is pretty good I think. It's around $150 a month out of my paycheck, just for me, but it looks like it will pay most of my maternity stuff, just 1 $35 copay at my first visit. My max out of pocket is $1500, so if that's all it costs I'll consider it good.
When I stop working after having LO I'll go on DH's and it's more to add me on his than us each having separate insurance, but otherwise we both have good plans.

Mine is pretty good. I have a $1,000 deductible (insurance pays 100% after I meet the deductible). My co-pay is $20 for specialists and non-specialists. I pay $52/month ($26/paycheck).

I am on DH's dental and vision plans--his company absorbs most of the cost and I think it's around $20/month for both of those.

I have awesome insurance. For my family of 4 we pay about $175 a month for medical and dental (eye exams are covered under medical but not glasses). I only paid $10 to have DS. They are making changes to the plan (introducing a deductible) which will increase our out of pocket expense next year but not to outrageous amounts.

Mines pretty awesome. It's a 90/10 plan and I have a 750 deductible and I think 1500 out of pocket. I don't pay anything for it because I work in a community health clinic and I'm way underpaid for my job, so they give us free health insurance as a benefit. We don't have dental included, but I work in a dental clinic... It's free anyway. No vision which sucks, but my husbands job offers vision for 6 dollars a month.

DH just started a new job and we are in the process of choosing a health insurance plan. I've been spoiled because I am only 23 and had the option to be on my dads insurance until I'm 26. Well I'm getting kicked off to be on DH's insurance and it's so freaking expensive! It covers a lot for the most part but I can't get over how much comes out of his paycheck. How good is your insurance? Does it include vision or dental?
