I think that the two weeks after DS was born was the closest we've ever been!! I had never been so admiring of DH and was just in awe of him. He said it was the same for me - it was amazing watching me give birth and become a mother.

Now it is different as we deal with the day-to-days of parenting together. We definitely clash in our parenting styles sometimes; but mostly we try to find humor in how the other person does things.

I do believe that making a little family has made us even stronger and we definitely rely on and trust each other more. It's a deeper level of intimacy and trust that I wouldn't have known had we no had a baby.

There is a lot more respect mutually - he really respects me being a SAHM even though I don't always enjoy it, and I really respect him working hard to make this possible.

It's also more fun. We don't get to do as many "couple" things, but it's shifted into family things and I totally don't mind. It's magical watching Cobi reach new milestones and I love sharing that with DH. Even though DS isn't old enough for those fun family trips- we make those memories at home just through simple play.

I feel SO blessed because I know it's not always a positive change in many relationships.

has it changed? how so?

being pregnant has brought us to an infinitely closer/intimate level; more than i could've ever imagined; i can't even imagine how it will be once LO is actually here! while i know there are bad moments/days; i'm so excited for another level of deepenening in our relationship as a couple/parents.
