It’s pretty common for that age around here, the stores seem pretty updated. It was actually just my kids and their 2 cousins but it still made sense to book it as a party. We were really impressed by the pizza and the kids had fun with the games and tickets. We did Sunday at 11am and there were two other parties! I don’t remember it being particularly crowded. I think they probably chose a time between lunch and dinner. The hosts provided cake and just had everyone order and pay for their own food. It was a little awkward, because I wasn’t expecting this. Some had reserved tables near the stage and others just took up tables in the main area. DH has taken LO to CEC quite a few times, but all during the week. I get it now. CEC parties are very popular. From the time I last went to CEC the food is way better and the system for game play is improved. We live in Georgia and Chick-Fil-A is ubiquitous here, but we only recently found out that they have parties too. Our location doesn't reserve tables for you (it's first-come first-serve), you provide the decorations and cake, and someone came out to check up on us and ask if we needed refills during the party. It was perfect because we had a kids table and a grown-ups table right next to each other, and the grown ups got to talk and leave the 4 year olds to eat on their own. We started early, at 5pm, before the restaurant got packed on a Saturday night. With the "down fall" of McDonald's and fast food being "junk food" and how this generation is very health-conscious, these parties became way less popular. I just looked, and McDonald's and Chuck-E-Cheese's seem to still be booking for parties (!!!), but personally we have never been to, or get invited to one.</p> <p>As DS grows older, the parties we have been to seems to become more elaborate "experiences": indoor playgrounds, kids' gyms, ninja training, bowling, game trucks, build a bear, or in a park in open air. I am just curious (even a little worried) what other moms would feel if I were to invite their kids to a Chuck-E-Cheese's or Chick-Fil-A party. </p> <p>I do have to say though, I just did a quick "Chick Fil A birthday party" google search, and came across a really cool pinterest board with really cool decor where parties were hosted at chick fil A! It indeed has a lot of potential. They provide table clothes, utensils and you can bring your own decorations, cupcakes, cake etc. They give the birthday kid a shirt and a stuffed cow and you can even request that the dressed cow makes and appearance!!!! </p> <p>You can buy individual meals or order off the catering menu (platters). </p> <p>FOR REAL!!!
