My LO is learning how to say the numbers. Since he hasn't mastered it, he won't say it unless he is ready. Today he said 1, 3, 4, 6, and 9 out of the blue. Oddly enough he knows the alphabet (minus 4 letters that he can't pronounce but still recognizes) at 23 months old.

@Mrs. Jacks: DD is good at recognizing patterns so she caught on pretty quick once we explained the pattern or repeating 1 through 9. We have to prompt her with fifteen, sixteen, twenty, thirty, etc... though.

Hmm... we haven't really worked on this much. I think the most we've done together is 30. Maybe we should start working on it.

@Honeybee: LOL! My son can count to 100 if I count with him slowly. But if he does it by himself, he sometimes skips from 49 to 60. and then 69 to 50. And at times, he counts to 100 without any mistakes. Sometimes I think he's doing it on purpose to mess with our heads. haha

My 3 year old can count to 100. He's really into numbers though. He can also count backwards but gets 6's and 7's mixed up from time to time.
