I would give him a small snack as soon as he was buckled in and that helped a lot. Some days she is happy, some not so much. We've been playing very loud music (bubble guppies) and that has been helping a bit. We even have a snack if I'm later than usual. Do you have any tricks for keeping LO happy?</p> <p>People describe day care pickup as the best part of their day. I LOVE the smile LO (1 yo) gives me when I pick her up but driving her home is awful. She's so excited to see me and she can't understand why I would stick her in a car seat and abandon her right away. She screams the whole way home. I know it's worse when I do pick up than when DH does it so I don't think it's just LO being tired &amp; hungry.</p> <p>For the past two months I've been wearing her home but we switch day care in a couple weeks and it won't be possible then. We just switched to a convertible seat but that didn't change anything. </p> <p>I haven't seen anyone post about this before. Am I the only one experiencing it? </p>
