I think it's drinking lots of water, but certainly all 3 helps, you're doing something right. I have 2 LOs now, and with my older one bringing home lovely colds from preschool, my immune systems sucks, and I get sick every other month it seems. This coming from someone pre-kids who got sick maybe once a year, maybe. the things we do...

I usually only get a cold once a year as spring heads into summer or autumn into winter. If I feel one coming on early, I'll often try to stave it off with multivitamins, Echinacea and extra veggies. It does work sometimes so I'd vote that the vitamins were really helping. Also, if you're drinking water now instead of anything sugary (even fruit juice), that could be a huge contributing factor too as sugar can weaken the immune system.

@stiletto_mom: To answer your question, I bet the increased water intake is the biggest contributor! But if your diet was somehow deficient in trace minerals, the PNV may have made a big difference!

I was doing great (killer immunity from working in healthcare) for years now...but somehow, this winter (maybe it's early pregnancy? steroids? stress?), I've managed to get both colds my husband has brought home so far. I feel like I've been sick for a month! :bummed:

Pretty darn good. I haven't been sick in a couple years. I'd like to say it was due to a great diet etc but my first years teaching were awful because I was sick all the time. I have built up a super tolerance to germs now.

My immune system was rock solid up until I started nannying FT last year... Now, I'm always sick. I've had a cough since August, and I had 3 stomach bugs last winter, and one so far this winter (just getting over it now). Bleh.

Ever since we started NTNP, I've been taking prenatal with DHA. I've been drinking more water, and at the slightest indication of a sore throat or anything sniffly, I eat raw garlic.

I usually get sick multiple times a year. Prolonged. But I haven't gotten sick since I started this regimen.

Do you think it's most due to:
a) increased water intake? I went from drinking one glass every 2-3 days, to drinking about 6 a day.
b) pre-natal vitamins
c) garlic

I'm aware it's likely the combination of all the above, but I can't help but wonder which is the most responsible.
