We do a weekly story time and they have a monthly music class. I also like that I can just reserve books online to be picked up at my local branch. It's waiting on the hold shelf and we can do a quick self check out. I never have to go in the stacks anymore. There are a million of them close. They have awesome toys and DD loves to run around and play and pick out books. She is usually too excited to read until we get home. They also do tons of programs for kids. It's definitely not the nicest or fanciest. But te children's librarian is really nice and knows me and c by name, which is nice. I like that they are constantly adding new materials. The children's section is bright &amp; cheerful and they have story time &amp; other activities. They have a great selection of audiobooks and DVDs as well as books. Although I think I have only read one book for me since LO was born! So, they are still trying to get everything off the ground.</p> <p>We have never made it to a story time because the schedule is either during the work day or her nap time on the weekends. I hope we will make it to one once her naps are more flexible (or maybe someday my job will be!!).</p> <p>Either way, I think it is a great place to take LO for some quiet reading time. I also try my best to read at least one book a month, so I get all my books there to save money.</p> <p>There is also a great DVD and audio book selection that we frequently use.</p> <p>How is your local library? What features are your favorites? </p>
