She's always been ahead in gross motor stuff. She is 18 mo and she's been walking for like... forever. And she runs. And jumps with both feet off the floor. And climbs like a monkey. She has no fear. I'm a little jealous of people whose kids have fear lol.

But I feel like the gross motor stuff comes at a cost. She's SO physical and so focused on exploring/climbing constantly and she doesn't talk yet. Which is weird. But I've heard kids usually are behind in one area if they're really ahead in another.

We had LO's conference the other day and she scored a 0 in her gross motor skill section. When asked if she could jump off a step she sat down and scooted off. I know she can jump because she jumps all over the place at home. She didn't walk until she was almost 18 months and has always been on the cautious side. I don't think she will be into sports much throughout school!

Any tips on improving gross motor skills?
