We use a command strip. So easy to take down when we travel. My mom leaves a strip on the wall DD uses at her house so we can quickly/easily put it up there.

We tried it on a little shelf but it would tip over if we tried to turn it too much. This way it has full range of motion. It is above DD so we can fully see her but from it's position it can also see the entire room pretty easily

Ours is just sitting on a bookcase or changing table angled at the crib. Works just fine like that.

We place ours on the changing table which is across from the crib. Works perfectly! No drilling etc. The night vision is great. Got it from amazon for 25$... I don’t recall the name but can post if you’re interested.

We used these wire hooks. The top picture is how it works, and the bottom right is what they look like. They can hold up to 50 lbs on the thicker ones, and only leave one tiny hole. We bought ours at Lowe's or Walmart

Command strips and done. It's been up there for 3 years with no issues.

The VuSee shelf has worked very well for us, just needs a corner. But it still can’t be RIGHT above the baby.
We actually used the Velcro command strips to pit it up. The sticky ones that came with it didn’t work well.

DH and I were lazy getting ready for the baby (plus he slept in our room for 3+ months).

Right now, the camera for his monitor is sitting on a bookshelf across from his crib. But that makes it hard to see *him* at night (the night vision "focuses" on the crib slats) and he's started moving more (this morning he was turned 90 degrees from how I set him down)

So I think we obviously need to mount the camera above the crib.

Did you do this by using the screw hole in the camera? Command strips in case you needed to reposition it? A tiny shelf meant just for monitor cameras? A decorative wall shelf?
