Because of all the stress of flying, I ended up with swelling in my joints that made one of my arms go numb! I flipped out and went to L&amp;D and found out it wasn't serious, but it scared me because of blood clot possibilities. As for what is safe, you'd have to go with your doctor's advice.</p> <p>I flew at 32/33 weeks from NY to CA with my first. I mentioned it to my midwife, but didn't get permission or need a note or anything.</p> <p>As long as things are going fine, I'd make the trip if I were you. I'd love to go see my family for Christmas, but I'll be 33 weeks by then. When was the latest you flew during your trimester? </p>
