Thanks everyone, lots for me to think about there.

@blackbird: if I could start getting to bed earlier then getting up before her could be an option.... I might try that!

@PurpleUnicorn: You totally just made my day, thank you  Unfortunately I have about 14 lb still to lose, but it's being so stubborn! I feel as though while I'm breastfeeding I will be heavier and have come to terms with that I guess but would like to try and it's not really feasible to diet while nursing so giving exercise a shot. And no we don't have a playpen but omg I wish we did, she is out of control, ha.

I like to exercise in the evening, but never after dinner. So I guess the latest I will do is 6 or 6:30. I'm sure if I had to, I could exercise after dinner, but I think it would be really hard for me to get motivated that late in the day.

I try to exercise when L is napping but if I can't, I might put him in the playpen for 10-15 mins then try to do more later. Do you have a playpen? We've discovered it's a saviour for a lightening crawling baby as L has also become in the past 2 days. We overfill it with toys and he can amazingly self-entertain in there for a decent amount of time!

Eta. I don't think 830 is too late depending when u want to go to sleep. As long as u can sleep at a normal time for you, then it should be good

Eta2: you look amazing btw and don't appear as if you have up lose any weight!

I think it depends when you go to bed. I go to bed at 9, so 8/830 would be *way* too late for me. I'd rather get up before her and work out at 5am. I'm a morning person, though. If you get too revved up, it could take some time to wind down. But otherwise, it's a great time to fit in a work out!

It depends on how adrenaline affects you I guess. For me, late workouts would keep me from falling asleep. Something like a long walk or yoga though? I could totally do that at night.

I don't think it's ever too late to exercise. I do it when I can. Yesterday was a full day and I wasn't able to exercise until 1 a.m.! I'm not a morning person, so I never work out first thing in the morning. I don't have trouble going to bed if I work out late--I take a nice hot shower and I'm usually out quickly.

I always exercise first thing. Before W could entertain himself while I worked out I would wake up before him or go for a run with him in the jogging stroller. If I workout that late I have trouble going to bed.

Okay I have got, got, GOT to lose a few pounds and tone up before Spain next month. GOOOOTTT TOOOO!

But there is no way A is going to let me do an exercise DVD through the day (she won't nap without me next to her yet, we're working on that this week though), she crawls like lightning and I'd always be chasing after her rather that following along, and she hates being contained in her crib/bouncy chair/high chair.

Sooo, I think my only option is to exercise when she goes down, which is about 8, 8.30pm. Is that too late to exercise do you think? How late do you exercise?
