I guess we practiced in that I would have him sit up in front of me/between my legs. But he rolled late: 6.5m and then sat up. We did practice a lot. But she didn't learn to actually sit up until about 2.5 months after rolling! We practiced sitting with him by sitting behind him so we could catch him if he fell. He loved sitting but was uninterested in rolling.
