I'm currently hiring a position and was on vacation immediately after the closing date, then really busy on other deadlines after that. It was a good 2-3 weeks before I started reviewing apps, much less contacting to start the interview process. I can't remember how long it took to get an interview. With my new job it was less than 24 hours between submitting my application and calling for an interview, but it was very specialized and I just happened to tick all the boxes (plus they wanted someone to start quickly). </p> <p>However two years ago I spent an absurdly long time job searching while unemployed. I see my boss sit on resumes for weeks or even months sometimes, but when we need to hire quickly, we get back within a week or two.
