We were ready about 3 years earlier but put it off due to caring for a sick parent then finances while we started a business. </p> <p>I think we would've been fine having one a few years earlier, but now is fine too. LO will be born after our 11th anniversary. </p> <p>One good thing is that everyone had already stopped bugging us about kids, so we didn't have the discomfort of trying and always being asked, "when are you having kids?" So, almost 3 years between wedding and the birth of our first child. It was the perfect amount of time for me. I would have loved to start trying sooner, but DH wanted some time to just be married which turned out to be just perfect. I think the timing is good. We had a lot if time to do things with friends and just as a couple. </p>
