We used condoms during the interim if it was around the middle of my cycle. My cycle was 28 days. The first cycle we tried, we got pregnant.</p> <p>With this pregnancy, I got off the pill and waited a few cycles to try. We didn't use protection because honestly it's a lot harder to BD when you have a 1 year old! My cycle was longer right when I got off the pill - around 33 days and each month it decreased by about a day. I was 36..DH was 42. It took us 4 months. My period came back about 3 or 4 months after I gave birth and they were normal cycles. I'm still nursing DS at 19 months and am 23 weeks pregnant after one time of unprotected sex. If you have time i would also love to hear in comments how long your first took and how they compared. Just curious because i know your body can change a lot after a pregnancy or with nursing or other factors at play. In my case my cycles have changed a lot. we are partially weening my son right now which may help and i am taking B complex. I wanna see how it differs on average. </p>
