But I'm scared to give him his lovey in the crib. I've tried it a couple times (not very recently), only to return with him screaming because he's covered his face and won't pull it off! I don't know why he does that, because he can move it! Maybe I'll try again and sit in there with him?</p> <p>@JoJoGirl: he slept in the RnP at night for a few weeks, then we transitioned him to a cosleeper, then to his crib in our room. Maybe try a gradual transition like that? I know I need to transition him to the crib for naps, but he does so well in the RnP! I don't even usually have to rock him. He knows that's where he naps and he goes right to sleep. If I try laying him down in his crib, he will NOT go to sleep.</p> <p>We don't CIO. How can I easily get him to switch napping spots? Or should I just keep letting him do what works?</p> <p>FWIW, his nighttime sleep has been crap the last two weeks. Growth spurt, teething, wonder week, who knows?! But I'm kind of hesitant to change anything until he's sleeping better at night... </p>
