That was a compromise. My husband would have moved her to her crib much earlier, and I would have kept her close by in our room until much later. We wound up moving her out of our room when we got rid of the Rock 'n' Play (she was starting to try to sit up in it). She and I both slept better with her in the crib, I was very anxious about her breathing and I liked having the angelcare monitor on in her crib. This baby we want to keep in our room longer, just for space reasons, but we will see if we can all sleep in the same room! It also coincided with the new year, so we were looking for a fresh start because her sleep and ours was starting to suffer. She's will be 7 months this weekend. It was the best decision for our family. I can't remember exactly when LO went to his own room, but it was after at least 3 months of co-sleeping. That's what worked best for our family! We moved her because DH's snoring and general not-going-out-of-his-way-to-be-quiet when we went up to bed kept waking her and it was really affecting our relationship (I was getting so mad!).
