We tried around a year and she just would.not.have.it. I asked the doc what to do and he basically told me she was too small and too active (aka burning calories) to be expected to go 12 hours on her own. So we just stuck with it. Then, at 13 months, she dropped the feed herself. Sadly though, we are back at it right now because all 4 of her one year molars are coming through and she's miserable.

No advice on this (LO dropped his night feeds on his own t 13.5 months) but good luck!!! I hope you are successful! I would just be prepared for an earlier wake time--I have a friend whose LO slept 8-7 with feeds, but when he night weaned, it became 8-6, no later!

We night weaned in month 5 when we sleep trained. I had been reducing her bottle amounts leading up to that so she was only at ~2 oz by then. It took about a week, BUT i distinctly remember there being a day 4 regression of some kind. It was like 2 steps forward, 1 step back. Hang in there!

LO is one year old and BF. We decided to night wean by DH going in to comfort and rock him and me going to sleep downstairs

The first night he woke up at 4. The second night 4 again, but stayed up longer. The third night he was up at 1 and at 4 and stayed up till 5. The fourth night he was up at 1, 2, and 5.

Everyone swore it only took three nights and then they STTN. Help! We are exhausted.
