After 3 months-- including that first month after BC, I could see a pattern (so really 2 months if I wasn't coming off the hormones). I'm at the point where I think I *should* know when I'm going to ovulate but I'm always off by a bit in predicting it (my luteal phase goes between 11-13 days which doesn't help). If I had a 28-day cycle all the time (I wish!!) and on my first charting month see that I O-ed on CD14, then I'd probably be confident that I would O on or near CD14 most of the time.</p> <p>But I agree with @Swedishfish that three cycles will probably be enough to see a pattern you can really depend on.
