We are more puree fails haha. DD only ate purees between 6-7 months and we moved onto BLW.

We did BLW + pouches for the convenience. The pouches are always the veggie kind with 1 fruit for sweetness, but DS at 19 months and DD at 3 years still eat those regularly.

My 3 year old still has pouches when we are on the go or super busy!

We did BLW with her for the most part but I spoon fed occasionally (especially yogurt or prunes). With the baby, she is 9 months old and pretty good at feeding herself finger foods but I still spoon feed purees for convenience, on average probably once a day at least.

She's still eating an occasional pouch at 18 months. At 9 months she was eating chopped up solids.

Until 8 months. She had a great pincer grasp by that point and could eat a variety of foods in one sitting. Daycare was comfortable eating the foods off their menu at that point, so I no longer needed to send her foods so I stopped sending purees. With that said, she still gets a couple pouches per week for a snack before daycare.

Also BLW failures over here. We couldn't get LO to eat real food besides avocado until she was over a year old. She would also choke on everything and/or throw everything up.

I stressed a lot more about it than I should have. One day it just clicked for her and since then she eats just fine. Sometime between 12-15 months that happened.

My DD is 11 months and still gets a pouch of puree per meal usually. She is hit or miss with table food.

My kids only did purees for 3-4 weeks, maybe a bit less. We are more of a BLW family and my girls went to table food pretty early.

We started BLW at 6 mo but my guy was not a rockstar. He just isn't big into trying new things so we still do squeezie pouches at 13.5 months. He's always eaten table food but he eats like a bird so we offer him a squeezie after he picks at his food. I don't love it but at least I know he's getting more nutrients that way.

Eta- I also did not do large pieces of food. Just small bites and not too many at once. I'm pretty certain my kid thinks he's a chipmunk and needs to store food in his cheeks.

I started giving her bite sized pieces of food along with purées the day she started solids. She preferred table food. I still give her purées in pouch form at 11 months. I didn't do traditional BLW where you give them large pieces of food. I gave her small enough pieces that she couldn't choke on and only put a small amount on her tray at a time.

Well, hard to say- with my first, he is 3.5 and still has a pouch every day but he was basically on table food by 8-9 months. I was no longer spoon feeding him by that point. With my 2nd, he is 8 months and still gets both purées and solids. I am more worried about allergies with him as he is MSPI and I haven't introduced any dairy, raw or baked yet and that limits things.

We stopped buying/making baby food right around 10 months - it was like a light bulb turned on and he figured out how to take bites/chew regular food.

How long did you feed your kids purees? When did they start eating only table food? I'm trying to figure out how many puree cubes to make.

As background, we are BLW failures. LO would get so hungry he would stuff all if his food in his mouth and choke. We also are dealing with multiple food allergies, so common "first solids" 7are out. . LO is 7 months and is breastfed. He eats solids 3 times a day-- between 10-12oz
