@daniellemybelle: well, I got one because M seemed interested. now I'm afraid I messed her up because she is scared to sit there or on the toilet. I put it away for later. Well, the small potty is still there because Is a stool too.

Interesting! I am just wondering if it will be backfire to have it sitting around a lot, almost like a toy? I guess not!

Same as @chopsuey: got it around 6 months. Just had him casually sit. Potty trained at 22.5 months! The second LO always saw it in the bathroom and even though we practiced way less he trained at the same age!

We bought one around 18 months and are potty training now at 25 months. She was ready a while ago but I didn't want to do it too close to LO2 arriving.

We bought our potty when Dd was 6ish months old. I tried EC and was successful, but was too lazy to keep up with it.. Especially after I got pregnant with #2.
We potty trained DD right before her 2nd bday.

I bought DS' potty a few months ago and plan on training him next month. He likes to sit on it when big sis goes potty :)

I don't think my 15.5 month old is ready to potty train, but I am considering getting her a potty because she has been very interested in my bathroom habits and telling me when she goes potty. (Really, just #2 - she says, "Poo poo," after she poops.)

I was thinking we'd just sit it in her bathroom and she could sit on it when I go, and before bath, and if she does end up going in it, we'll get excited. That's it. Then, we'd save the "real" potty training for several months down the road.

Is that a good idea or is it better to introduce the potty and no more diapers at the same time?
