I waited 2.5 weeks and nothing happened so I finally scheduled a d&amp;c at 10 weeks. When I went in for the procedure they did another u/s to be sure and the sac had continued growing but still no fetus or heartbeat. I gave it another week to start bleeding. Since I hadn't yet, I had a D&amp;C. At my u/s, we found that my HCG had dropped from 21,000 to 20,500. It was dropping but slowly. </p> <p>With my second, I started spotting at 8w1d. The doctor confirmed the m/c (baby was once again measuring 6 weeks). I started heavily bleeding two days later. </p> <p>So sorry again. Don't apologize for asking the question. We watched my betas that continued to go up, just very slowly. I even went in and had an ultrasound that showed a heartbeat (I was exactly 6 weeks at that point). I had a big gush of blood one day and the US showed the sac had already disonnected and I passed it the next day, and little clots over the next couple days. So I was told to stop all progesterone and estradiol today and wait. Before my appointment I started to notice some light cramps and have been cramping on and off for a few hours. </p> <p>If you have had to m/c naturally after a blighted ovum or missed m/c, how long did you end up waiting for the process to start? (And I'm sorry if this brings up bad memories!) </p>
