That wasn't 30 min of crying the whole time though. She'd cry 3-5 min, calm down, ramp up and repeat. She also still cries before every nap now (almost 10 months). She cries between 30 sec to 8 min every day. It was really easy for us. It took about a week before she'd go down without crying, but she really only cried 10 mins tops. We also introduced a lovey at the same time. This really helped to lengthen naps once she could put herself to sleep and she transitioned Into the 2-3-4 nap schedule by 7 months which has been great. My approach to naps was way different than night time<br /> ETA: we half ass attempted several times but she seemed incredibly receptive to it around 7 months so I stuck with it &amp; it took a day and a half.
