I also was induced and it took a whole day to get labour going and be fully dilated, but it did happen. I never felt the urge to push though and I hadn't had an epidural. After 2 hours of labouring down. That combined was exactly half my total labour. My OB would have been happy to let me continue pushing, as I wasn't tired, but baby was getting tired. So we decided to do a vacuum assist. She said I had really strong/tight muscles, and that it shouldn't take so long next time.
