Not sure...do you mean December? I had LO in August of 2012 and was fine wearing a bikini that May. I probably would have been okay with it earlier, just no opportunity to wear one. I think it depends on your body and how your skin reacts to the stretch more than the c section itself. I'm due with LO2 in a few weeks and am highly doubtful I will be wearing one this summer!

Oh yeah, I'll add that by six months pp I was down 25 lbs from pp. But my belly is made of jelly now! Woot!
Two of my friends had c-sections a couple months before me and they were both in bikinis last summer and looked great. So you can definitely do it. My body just got really stretched out and saggy. Oh well. I'm not torn up about it. There are worse things in the world than never wearing a bikini again.

I'm 1 year pp from a c-section and definitely won't be in a bikini for....forever probably. I had JUST gotten to a bikini body (an ok one at that, not great) before becoming pregnant too, so it's a tough pill for me to swallow. I am back to my original weight, but a have a weird puffy spot a few inches above my scar. It's not a pouch, per se, but according to my ob, it's scar tissue from the internal stitches. Awesome :(

Most likely no more bikinis for me, I have too much extra "fluff" to feel comfortable and a pooch taht was never there. I'm back to my original weight (16 months PP) but body is just different. tankinis for me, I might consider if we go on a trip just me and my DH.

I guess it depends on how good you want to look in the bikini, ha ha ha. I had my LO in July and I wore a bikini that summer, but I had a belly and loose, untoned legs and butt and arms and looked pretty bad! Now 7 months pp, with exercise and breastfeeding I am still 10-15 lbs up and not fully toned up. It took a long time for my belly to go down, and I don't actually think that the exercise really helped - I think it was time. I still have stretch muscle and skin pooch as well. I think I am passable in a bikini at this point, but still not where I would like to be! It really does just take so freaking long to have everything go back to normal-ish, and it's still not the body of before!

I think it all depends on your body composition! I'm 14 months out from my C-section and still holding onto 25 extra pounds of baby weight. Despite eating really clean my body just wants to cling on to this extra weight and never let go!!

Having said that, I think with healthy eating and regular exercise it is reasonable to think that you could rock whatever swimsuit you want!

No more bikinis to me. That's because of the stretch marks and saggy skin though. My c-section is not a big deal.

I agree it depends on your body.

After my 1st I was in a bikini at 15 months PP and looked really good.

After my 2nd child I will never wear a bikini again.....

It definitely depends on the person. For example, I had a bit of a pooch to begin with (but felt comfortable in a bikini) before my c-section. Now, at 8 months pp, there is no way I will ever get in one again. My stomach just won't firm up. That being said, my body is a lot meaner to me than a lot of the other summer moms that had babies around the same time. Most of them can definitely rock a bikini!

Just curious... How long did you feel that you reclaimed your postpartum body after a c-section? I'm headed to a beach at the end of this year and I have a 6 week old right now. Would it be reasonable to say I might be able to rock a bikini or keep my tummy under wraps?
