Since LO was our first we didn't have any reason to want to hurry home and our hospital was amazing. The food was fantastic and the LC on staff came around a few times a day to give us nursing pointers. I'm sure to this day that is part of the reason we had such a successful breastfeeding journey. </p> <p>LO spent a few hours in the hospital nursery two of the nights we were there and I got some good sleep to help recover from surgery. Honestly those four days in the hospital are remembered like a honeymoon of sorts - just the three of us getting to know each other, with the aid of nurses and LCs and pediatrician visits just often enough to feel supported. Plus that mechanical bed!!! After a c-section a bed that helps you sit up and lay down is miraculous! They were letting us go early, around 20 hours, but the lab got backed up and we had to wait for a blood test.<br /> With #2 I was out after 15 hours.
