My doctor said I could stop at 10 weeks (just stop with no monitoring), but I was super nervous so he said I could wean myself off the shots if it made me feel better. I did an extra week of shots to wean myself off and then stopped the day before 11 weeks. I am more in the camp of not thinking it matters, but I liked having something tangible I could do when I was worried. I don't think my doctor said how long I'd be on it this time, but I feel like with my last pregnancy they might have said through week 20?</p> <p>But they also pointed out how split doctors are on progesterone. Some think it isn't worth it, that if a baby is going to be miscarried, it's going to be miscarried.
