My supply always went down a bit around the start of my period but that happens even when I am not on bcp. I went to get a refill but my doctor is urging me to use a different method of birth control now that she's starting solids. We're still nursing 5-6 times a day and I'm worried that switching to something else will affect my supply. I'd like to continue breastfeeding until she's at least a year old. </p> <p>When did you stop taking the mini pill, and if you switched before you were done breastfeeding, did it affect your supply? </p>
