DS2 liked it but wouldn’t sleep in it. We used it about 6 months. When he started daycare at 12 months he used the swing for a month or two there. I know, it’s embarrassing but you know what...she takes 3 hour naps in that thing. And it has a 35 lb weight limit so...We’ve definitely got our use out if it! We pulled it back out shortly after she turned 1 and she had fun climbing in and out of it. At almost 22 months she still sits in the swing. She's about 3lbs over the weight limit, but it's okay. </p> <p>We use it once in a while for DS. She is 8 months old. My 7 week old wakes up most mornings at 6am and I'm usually not ready to get up then (after waking up in the night with her)... I usually end up putting her in the swing in the FR (she falls back to sleep right away) and sleeping on the couch. </p> <p>If you decide not to keep the extras, maybe you could sell them on Craigslist? That might be worth more than the 25% BRU discount. I got mine via Craigslist. And on that note, the swing moves really fast when they're newborns because they're so tiny. There's NOTHING that can replace the magic of a swing though. LMW once took a 6 hour nap in ours! She's a good sleeper now but when she was younger, oh man, sometimes even the swing wouldn't work. I would not have traded our swing for anything...!! Worth EVERY penny. And the Fisher Price Snugabunny (ours was the generation before that... My Little Lamb) is absolutely the best. </p> <p>Our nanny's LO doesn't like the swing though! And they got the Snugabunny as a gift. We were also gifted 3 hand-me-down swings I thought would be useful to leave one at the family vacation home and one at each grandparents' house. But now DH brought 2 of them home and they are HUGE! IDK why I thought they would fold up small? No way we can fold them into a small closet for the vacation place and store it. I think one of them we can keep in our room "just in case" she needs a place to sleep in our room. I think my dad will have a heart attack if we leave a big swing at his house too! </p> <p>And the 2 that DH brought home yesterday are from his old boss whose baby is only 9-10 months old. So DH said the swings don't seem to have a long shelf life? </p> <p>I'm thinking of trading one of them in for the BRU trade-in event, but feel guilty since the 2 newer ones are both still over $120 each! </p> <p>How long did your LO use a swing for? Seems like they are kind of big ticket items that have a short life-span? </p>
