We used the K'tan for a while... I would say probably 6 months or so. He loves being worn and I loved this carrier.

I think I used the Ktan until she was around 6 months. At that point, we starting using the Ergo more.

@MCD919: we have the ergo too and i find it to be a lot easier BUT it still hurts my back. Everyone raves about through, so I'm pretty sure I'm doing something wrong.

We used it in phases - when she was new, she liked to sleep in kangaroo position. She grew out of that pretty quickly and for a while, didn't like the ktan at all. Now that she's a bit older and stronger, she likes the hug position (I think that's what it's called). I still only use it around the house for short periods of time though, bc as others have mentioned, it's not super supportive.

@heartonastring: Is that because the structured carriers are better for our backs? I've heard lots of good things about the ergo. That's probably what we'll get next, but I'm going to try it on before getting another carrier!

I never got the hang of the ktan, but I used the moby up until about 4 months. We started usin the beco around that time wcause it was just a little easier to put on and off, but we could have used the moby a little longer. C is 50thpercentile for weight.

I think only a few months. I only wore him during some naps. I was never really a fan.

Stretchy wraps aren't ideal past 15lbs. Once your LO gets to that size I'd recommend an SSC (ergo, Beco, Tula etc.) or a woven wrap :)

I've used the ktan since LO was a week old and we love it!! Those who used it, how long were you able to wear LO in it? My little guy is 9 weeks and fairly small at 11lbs... Wondering when he'll outgrow it...
