I'm probably not the best person to compare to since my LO was extremely tiny when born. But we used the newborn napper for 3 months and then the pack and play for a few weeks before we transferred him to his crib.

When we used the bassinet in the pnp we left the change table part on. Now when we travel and LO sleeps in the pnp on the actual mattress, we don't leave any attachments on.

She slept in the bassinet for maybe 3-4 weeks then we switched her to a traditional bassinet beside our bed.

Our pack n play had a zipper for attaching the changing pad part, so we would flip it over to let it dangle over the edge when LO was sleeping in the basinnet area, and then flip it back up when we needed to use the changer. But when LO was pretty small, we would just leave the changer on since it wasn't really in the way.

We were hoping DH would be able to sleep in the little Pack n Play napper for at least another month, but I noticed last night his feet are sticking up at the end, so I think I'm going to take it out this weekend and try having him sleep in the top layer of it.

If you had/have the PnP with the napper and changing table, and had your LO sleep in the top layer, did you take both attachments off or just the napper?
