She puts our 14m old in it when she needs to take the dog out for a quick pee or when she needs to rinse a diaper out or something. </p> <p>We still use the mini one in our room on an almost daily basis. DS goes in there in the mornings for like 20 minutes or so while we get ready and do stuff around the bedroom. </p> <p>They aren't 100% necessary, but they definitely make our lives easier. Oh, and DS is a BIG boy if it makes any difference to you (he's 28 pounds and almost 3' tall). But you don't need the fancier accessories. We used it for a few months after that for a safe place for her to play in a pinch. By 10 months she wanted nothing to do with it. Girl likes her freedom! We're traveling next month and we're going to bring it but im not sure if she'll sleep in it or not. Dd is about 19 months old and we are going to be ttc again so hopefully it can live through 2 kids. I also thought it might be nice to have something really compact and portable.</p> <p>I saw one at a baby gear store today and I wonder whether we'll get enough use out of it. It is supposed to be for up to 18 months but looks pretty small.</p> <p>How long did you use your travel crib?<br /> If you had a mini version (Graco makes one too I think) did you like it and feel like you got enough use out of it? </p>
