Can't contribute since I haven't had a baby yet  but I did want to say for anyone looking for amazing long tanks, Old Navy tami's in long are amazing! And they aren't racerback and my bra is perfectly concealed  I wear these now since I have a longer torso and I always think how great these will be when I'm pregnant lol. I've had some for about 3 years now and they hold up fantastically!

I have a 20 month old and I still wear a few pieces that aren't very maternity-ish.
But as a rule, I was out of them by 12 weeks pp or so.

I fit into my regular clothes 4 weeks pp but I didn't gain a lot and I was already plus sized which I feel like gives you more wiggle room. (That being said, I have on a maternity tank right now at 10mo pp because its long and I like it).

I didn't - my main problem was with my newly giant chest, so I bought some flowy tops a size or two up to accommodate the girls :)

@sandy: I BF and am eating like a cow so I'm not losing the weight! I am doing ok now since it's still cold and I'm wearing more clothes... Hopefully we can all be back to our pre-preg size by summer :) :)

@FaithFertility: @snowjewelz: same here ladies - 4 months PP and still rocking the maternity jeans :bummed: i can finally fit into my fat jeans but it is not pretty and I need a longer loose shirt to cover it up.

My first pregnancy I was back into my pre-pregnancy clothes 3 months PP. I didn't even have to try to lose the weight and it just fell off I think bc of BF. I'm having such a hard time losing the weight this pregnancy (obviously I can't BF to lose the weight).

Bottoms maybe 5-6 weeks PP. But some tops I still wear sometimes 6m PP. I don't need them but they are cute and don't look like maternity. Got a lot of cute tops and ribbed tanks from gap and AT Loft maternity and they don't look like maternity at all.

I had a couple of maternity bottoms that I never stopped wearing, because they fit fine with no belly too (they pretty much sit on the hips and have stretchy waists). And I mostly wore regular dresses as maternity dresses. I actually had more trouble with some of my favorite tops not fitting any more than with the bottoms... I think my rib cage expanded or something

I stopped wearing maternity bottoms at maybe 6-8 weeks pp. But that doesn't mean that my old clothes fit. I had to buy new clothes that were a size up. Baby boy is 10 1/2 months and I still don't fit into my pre baby work pants. But I only really started trying to lose the weight since the beginning of the year.

You just never know. I bounced back quicker with DS1.

I mainly wore sweat pants and old t-shirts for the first 2 months pp. I wore a few maternity tops 3-4 month pp. I was so tired of wearing the maternity clothes, I was ready to bag them up for storage and wear clothes I hadn't worn in months. I did buy 1 new pair of jeans before LO arrived in my pre-pregnancy size and made a point of working out enough to get into them.

I mostly wore yoga pants and shorts. When I did go out, I had a pair of maternity shorts that I wore for about 6 weeks (my regular jeans fit a week pp but shorts did not). I did wear a belly bandit with them because there was a lot of muffin top.

I didn't, really, because I was so tired of them. Plus, I gave birth in the spring (which in the NE is still kind of chilly, usually) and so needed new stuff for summer. I just relied on maxi dresses and cheap clothes sized up a bit - like, I got some basics from Old Navy.

I vote get a couple maxi dresses. I got a maternity maxi that I really like that I will wear this summer. I think it's easy to find them when they are just full (with lots of fabric) rather than gathered on the sides.

I'm 4 weeks pp and packed up 1/2 of my maternity clothes right away, ones with gatherings on the side were the first gone. But I'm still wearing maternity leggings. I only have 3 lbs to go (I gained 35) but I'm not leaving the house much so I have not bothered trying on pre pregnancy bottoms.

ETA the style I liked is called kimono, the photo was at about 18 weeks. I figure it will be easy to nurse in this summer. I think mine is a little lover cut than this one http://www.target.com/p/maternity-knit-kimono-maxi-dress-liz-lange-for-target/-/A-16533340?ref=tgt_adv_XSB10002&AFID=bing_pa_df&LNM=16533340&CPNG=Women&kpid=16533340&LID=22pbs&ci_src=328768002&ci_sku=16533340&ref=tgt_adv_XS000000&AFID=msn&CPNG=pla_new_women&adgroup=pla+maternity&LNM=%7BKeyword%7D&MT=broad&LID=22p50486938&KID=0ef6c64f-b915-44ba-9234-9a69bda7ea6a

Not sure if you are planning on breastfeeding but these tanks fit over my huge belly at the end. I reccomend getting in black if you are going to wear them out and about without nursing pads. http://www.target.com/p/women-s-nursing-henley-cami-gilligan-o-malley/-/A-13393083#prodSlot=large_1_3&term=Gillian

@loveisstrange: @hilsy85: Um, the Target ribbed maternity tank tops that they don't make anymore? I LOVE THEM. They are so long for me and not see through (but don't have ruching on the sides). I live in them during the summer. Even their newer long and lean tanks suck in comparison (and are too sheer, IMO)

I wore some maternity bottoms and XL shorts for awhile, but when I went back to work 3 months PP, I bought some jeans and capris one size up to tide me over. Since it was July, I also wore a crap ton of skirts and dresses to work, instead of regular maternity stuff. But i still wore the t-shirts out and about on weekends and stuff because they were long and not clingy. And i didn't care if E spit up on them or stained them because they were wash and dry type clothes, unlike a lot of my other clothes (because they shrink!). I definitely needed some in-between clothes
