@Foodnerd81: She was very warm but not into fever territory. I gave her Calpol every 4 hrs. I think her little legs hurt at the injection sites. I get a sore, swollen arm after shots so I imagine she takes after me. I hope C feels better soon.

@Cherrybee: Did she have a fever when she was screaming? That must have been terrible. I gave C tylenol for the fever this morning. She felt warm again when I put her down for her nap bit didn't seem upset by it, and she was already going down so I didn't want to disturb her to take her temp. She's just very sleepy.

E had her shot at 11am. She fell asleep immediately after for half an hour and seemed okay, then she had another half hour nap at 1pm. Then she woke up SCREAMING. I recorded it on my phone because I had never heard screaming like it. She screamed and screamed and screamed. Nothing would calm her. Every now and again, she would drop off for ten minutes out of sheer exhaustion and then she would wake up SCREAMING again. It was awful (I cried with her!!). Then at 4pm she gave me a great big smile. She was completely normal after that! So weird!!

@Foodnerd81: usually twins are truly double the fun. On shot days...blech, not so much!

Neither of my boys sleep after shots. I wish they would because it would probably make them feel better. :( At both 2 and 4- month appts they ran a low fever and were clingy and fussy. We have their 6-month shots today, and I'm hoping that they will do better than after the 4-month ones. For some reason, those were brutal.

@ALV91711: she did though it took a little longer than usual- but she was probably hungrier too. She woke up again fussy then fell asleep in our bed. Just woke up with a slight fever but doesn't seem upset by it.

My baby, who never naps, was so sleepy all day. She had her shots in the am. I think she barely nursed that day. She was still a little extra sleepy the next day and then was back to normal after that. Oddly, she seemed completely unaffected by her four month shots. I was expecting a sleepy day!

my baby was reallly sleepy too. She seemed really uncomfortable too so I gave her a dose of infant aspirin. Did you try that yet? The rest of the night was OK though!

C had her shots around 3:30, fell asleep around 5, and is still totally out now at 11:30. Rather than wake her and make her deal with any potential discomfort I'm just pumping and going to bed. But I'm afraid she will wake up and it will be a loooong night. Only time will tell.

How did your lo react to the two month shots?
