DS was 8lb12oz and only wore NB clothes for about a week. He's 9 weeks now and wears some 0-3 months, but they're getting tight on him. 3 months mostly fits well, but we also have some 6 and 9 month outfits that can fit him...a bit loose, mostly in length, but he's not drowning in them either.

my LO was born at 6lb, so she was in NB clothing for a good 3 months. at 2 YO she's still a small fry still yet, and fits 18-24 months pretty good, however there are still some 12 months old stuff that still fits! the great thing about this is she really gets good usage out of her clothes :)

L wore NB clothes for at least a month. She probably could have fit into it for 6 weeks, but by then, the 0-3 wasn't as big on her so I started to transition her out. She's always been a small baby - right now, at 7.5 months, her 6-12 month clothes are all huge and she can still fit into her 3-6 clothes.

That's what I thought too and then one day he just outgrew it completely. It's the same with diapers.

My guy was a peanut too! By 2 months he was about 9 lbs - around then he started wearing 0-3 clothes -- he has always been thin but has a long torso. At almost 5 months he is wearing size 3-6 and has no signs of outgrowing them anytime soon!

@coco bee Ok, it seems like everyone says a week to a few weeks but my LO seems to be just like yours! I"m worried about her weight gain but it seems to be within the normal range...she's still so skinny! On that note maybe I will buy more NB..we're rotating about 7 onesies and 2 other outfits... Today I have her in a 0-3 mo gown with the sleeves rolled up!

My baby was a peanut too!! Sounds similar to your LO. I thought he'd be out by 6 weeks and he wasn't. He wore NB for 12 weeks. He started to fit into some 0-3 by 8-10 weeks but they were still big.

DD outgrew NB around 3-4 weeks. She was 7lbs 13oz when she was born. 0-3 months was a little big on her at first too but she grew into it quickly.

My baby girl is almost 4 weeks old and showing no signs of outgrowing her NB clothes. She absolutely drowns in 0-3 month clothing. I expected her to be bigger and returned most of the NB gifts we were given and ended up buying some onesies when she was about a week old. Last week I bought a couple outfits and I'm tempted to buy more! She is 8lb8oz today (She seems to be eating enough based on wet/poopy diapers, and her dad was a really small baby/kid, but I still wonder if I'm feeding her enough!)
