@betsyboop: Thank you. I really need to hear this. His sleep is all over the place. We had been getting a 5-hr stretch then 3 leading up to his 2-mo shots, and it's never returned. Sometimes he will surprise is with a 6- or 7-hr stretch and a 3, but more often he wakes every 3 or 2. And sometimes is up for a good 1.5 hrs between. It's torture. And I return to work in a week, so I'm not sure how this will go.

@pregnantbee: Fwiw, my lo's sleep was terrible for the few days following her 2 month shots but she started sleeping through the night right after her 4 month shots...for about 3 weeks, and then the regression happened. So there is hope!

My 3.5 mo old has never slept well. I'm hoping something will click soon! Dreading his 4-mo shots late next week. He slept even worse than usual after his 2 mo ones.

@LouLouBelle: that's what I'm hoping too. I rush around like a mad women as soon as I put her down, trying to cram as much productivity into such a short time. I seriously shave my legs in shifts so I can shorten shower time. One day I'll shave knees down. The next day, knees up. Sad but true.

I think it lasted around 6 weeks for us. Although her naps have yet to improve. She's 6 months and still only takes 30-45 minute naps with the occasional long nap thrown in the mix every few weeks. I had to sit her in her crib a few times and walk away so I could collect myself. It's hard but hang in there!

6 weeks for us....but it ended around the same time that we moved her to her own room, so I don't know if it was the regression ending, or just that she needed her own space. things got bad again around when she turned 6 months (week 26, a wonder week, apparently) but seem to be getting better again now, a week or so later....good luck!

@betsyboop: I think it is no longer a regression when it lasts 5 months! :) she also regressed around the 4 month mark, but we did modified cio and managed to get through it after a few days. I find that if you try and stick to your usual routine as best as you can, you can get through this period without completely regressing back.

We're quickly approaching 6 months and still struggling a bit with it. I think a lot of what my LO's issue is that he has reflux and I don't think we get enough food in him to sleep through. He wakes at least twice and is starving at both wakings. But I'm not too worried about it. He'll sleep one day. And eventually I'll miss having those nighttime moments with him.

@betsyboop: the first night he cried an hour, the second night maybe 15 minutes? After a couple days he started taking longer naps (sometimes 2 hours!). It's been a month now and he usually takes at least one 1.5-2 hour nap a day and sleeps 12 hours straight with no wakes ups almost every night. With teething now we aren't quite as strict about it. Sometimes he goes right to sleep when we put him down, but sometimes if he's fussy I rock him mostly to sleep.

@regberadaisy: Glad to hear your LO finally may have sorted it out, I know you've recently been posting about crappy sleep! I heard the 4 month regression is the worst so hopefully the 9 month one won't be so bad?!?

@krsmall: My LO is 4.5 months, and it just started for her. At exactly 4 months, she started sleeping through the night consistently and then BOOM this happened. Here's to hoping you guys get lucky and skip it altogether!

Our LO is 4 months and we haven't hit sleep regression yet. If anything he is sleeping better. He is sleeping in his crib and he sleeps through the night. I wonder if we still have yet to hit the 4 month regression or if we got lucky and he won't have it??

My LO is almost 5 months....and I would say the night part of it lasted from about 3.5 months-4.5 months (about 4 weeks). It was also when we transitioned him to the crib and weaned him from the swaddle because he was getting up every 3 hours anyways. Now, he goes down pretty easily at night without nursing to sleep and has resumed longer stretches (9.5 the other night, only 5.5 last night...). Naps are still hard - I can get him to go down in his crib awake and with minimal crying but he only naps for 30 minutes...hoping that part sorts itself out soon, too.

Ah, we are in the midst of the dreaded 4-month sleep regression. My LO fights going down for every single nap, and when she does finally sleep, it's only for 30 minutes at a time. It takes longer to put her down for the night, and she wakes up every 2 hours needing her pacifier to be replaced. This has been going on since Wednesday. Oh joy!

I did a quick google search and read that some people claim this particular regression lasted a loooong time (perhaps months?!)! So if you remember, how long did your LO's 4 month regression last?
