He's planning to take more for #2. He has a huge comp time bank and can also use sick time and vacation time. I'm really grateful for it because I really struggle with the newborn stage and had ppd/ppa last time. With a toddler I know having him there will be a huge plus. He had to choose dates ahead of time for his schedule, so it was pretty sucky planning for our son to come early as the doctor was sure would happen and waiting and waiting. He only ended up using 5 days though. I had continuous visitors for a couple of months and he would sleep when baby slept. He only went in the AM for a few hours, brought us back food at lunch time and then worked from home (cell phone) for the rest of the day.<br /> He did this for maybe the first 6-8weeks and basically, his office is 10 mins away or less, so he popped in and out within those 4 hours that he was at work. I guess it does suck that his job is so demanding, but at least he is able to be so flexible with how and where the work gets done. Also, I wasn't really the 'stay indoors' type after I had the baby. I was out and about! </p>
