DS1 is 3 and I think 18-24 months was worse with him and his lack of communication. He is pretty easy to reason with now. Getting him to go the f to sleep is another issue, ha. I wish I could tell his daycare that I didn't want him to take a nap anymore, maybe then he would go to bed before 10:30.

DS just turned 3, we haven't noticed any dramatic change in his behavior but is definitely testing us more. And he's had a huge potty regression. But, he's overall such a good kid that I can't be mad at him for wanting to test his boundaries. He's also in the process of dropping his nap so I think that is contributing to some of the bad behavior!

DD1 was awful (relatively speaking...2s were not hard at all for us with her) starting just before 3 until 3.5. Now she is 3.75, and it's been so much better! Maybe I've just gotten used to it? But I think it's a combination of her being more mature & me having had 5-6 months to learn what works/how to prevent acting out a bit better at this age.

My SIL says her two boys were terrors pretty much from their 3rd to their 5th birthdays. Not very encouraging, but we're muddling through it now...hoping for the best but settling in for the long haul.

It lasted right until he turned 4. Phew. We had a tough year. Thank goodness 4's have treated us pretty well so far.

DD1 was a dream baby and toddler but switched to a threenager at 35 months - caught me by total surprise! We had a rough few months, but within four to five months, she was mostly back to her previously sweet self. Don't get me wrong, we still have attitude at times but nothing even close to what it was a couple of months ago! Hoping it stays like this forever :-)

Uh...it started just before 3 for us and still going at 3 y 8m. I'm hoping it will miraculously stop at 4 just like it miraculously started at 3!

The entire 3rd year? Into the 4th? I don't want to wish time away but this terrible 3 stuff sucks. I am constantly battling something with my 3 year old! Currently I'm trying to get her to go to bed, and I'm solo parenting so I have no help. She's tired so she's throwing a tantrum, kicking her door. DH is much better at putting her to bed than I am...clearly. She was such an easy baby/young toddler...I miss that!

I'm curious how many months did the terrible 3's last for your LO?
