I always would let it be refrigerated 3-4 days and if it hadn't been touched then I'd freeze it.

3 days max in the fridge, 2 days if I was freezing it. Like @autumnlove:

Soo... I would freeze my Thursday pump right after then thaw for Monday.

@regberadaisy: totally save Thursdays pump for Monday unless you have a freezer stash you need to rotate through.

In the fridge, up to 8 days before using it if it's fresh.

If it's heading to the freezer I like it frozen within 3 days.

Assuming everything was clean,, etc etc. How long are you comfortable storing freshly pumped breast milk in a 32-38F fridge before freezing it?

I am generally most comfortable with 3 days or 72 hours. My dilemma is I work Monday, Tues and Thurs in the office. So those are my regular pump days. I would use Mondays for Tuesday. Tuesdays for Thursdays. But Thursdays bottle will be sitting for 96 hours before giving to LO if I don't freeze it.
I am able to fit one evening pump session in if I stay up till 11.
So technically I can pump enough from my one session each night Thurs through Sunday night for LO's Monday bottles.

What would you do? Would you immediately freeze. Thursdays pumping output then pump nightly for Monday? Or just save Thursday's pump for Monday and enjoy not pumping over the weekend??

I guess the bigger question is, is the extra 24hrs that big of a deal? Is it the lesser of two evils? 96hrs vs freezing which breaks down the milk protein.

And yes, I'm likely completely over thinking!
