No guilt here. My girls (12 mo) often play happily in their cribs or yell happily to one another from their cribs and until one starts crying, I enjoy the peace. It doesn't come often so I take it.

I leave him as long as he's happy! Sometimes he'll just lay there and talk quietly (sometimes loudly) to himself for up to 45 minutes or so! I generally wait until he's clearly calling or crying.

If he's content I leave him, but that doesn't mean I don't feel guilty about it! lol I just keep reminding myself that if he didn't want to be in there I would know it.

I go in when she starts screaming - which sometimes takes a couple of minutes but usually happens immediately on wake up. If she was happy in there I would leave her until she called for me.

If he's not asking to get out, I don't feel h
guilty. I used to love lounging in bed when I was younger, and I suppose sometimes even toddlers want to lie in a little before they really wake up.

If she's not upset?!?! I don't feel bad AT ALL! I figure if E wanted out, she'd let me know. Otherwise, E seems to enjoy her alone time with her animals in her crib. I will let her hang out as long as she wants.

I'd leave her be. Wouldn't make me feel bad at all. I let DD play by herself in her room for over an hour as long as she's happy (checking on her often). I think it's good for children to be able to entertain themselves.

A good while in the morning if they are quiet and happy. I feel guilty after an hour of LO resting in the afternoon but try to leave her at least that long or a little longer.

I always leave DS until he's sitting upright or standing. Lots of times he just lays there, wide awake but perfectly content. And if he's content, I'm content :silly: .

I get bad guilt. Not sure why. I have slowly gotten better about letting DD stay in her crib until she really whines or cries out. Sometimes it can be a long while, other times its just a few mins. This also depends on what time it actually it... meaning if it's 415 am I may try to let it be for longer than I would it if was 530 am

I wait until she starts calling for me, but more often than not we have somewhere to go so I get her right away. Plus big sis is around so I think it's better that they have play time together instead of baby sis playing by herself in the crib!

Never try to make a happy baby/ toddler happier! I go in when the baby is standing and calling, or if she wakes up and cries, and for my toddler, I go when I hear her calling, or she just comes out of her room when she's ready.

Aw, so cute. My DS is the same way - he loves his crib and likes to chat away to himself after he wakes up. This morning he woke up at 6 but I didn't end up going to get him until closer to 7.

sleep and naps!

my daughter (2) is very happy to play quietly in her crib. the last few mornings I've woken up pretty late (8 am!) because she doesn't wake me up! I have the monitor volume all the way up, too. she's very quiet.

my mom said let sleeping dogs lie, but sometimes I feel guilty. she's been awake from her nap for almost 40 minutes now but she's still laying down in her crib and occasionally hiding on herself (covering herself with her blanket and asking "livy? where are you?).

if I didn't have a video monitor I'd have no idea she was awake!
