If he's sitting playing it's usually the latter. I put him down for a nap about 10 minutes ago and have been watching him play on the monitor since. I'd just have to rock him for a few minutes. In the past week it got to the point where he'd scream and fight going down and wouldn't sleep longer than 20 minutes unless I was laying down with him. So this week we started nap training. I take him into his room, rock him while I sing him a song with his paci and blankie. Then I give him a kiss and set him down in the crib. And he fusses himself to sleep. If he's babbling and obviously not asleep, how long do you think he should hang out in there before I give up on this nap? It's been almost 20 minutes. He's not fussing, but he's clearly not asleep either... </p>
