Usually until she's passed out asleep. Sometimes she'll keep nursing and not fall asleep, and I'll leave and she'll moan a bit while my husband snuggles her up and they both fall asleep. We used to nurse 30 minutes before bedtime. I usually offer the weak side first which he'd basically fall asleep sucking for 20-25 minutes. Then I'd pull him off and he'd start crying a bit because he's still hungry and I offer the milky side. He'd finish his business within 6-7 minutes, and would pull off on his own and continue sleeping on my lap..... Sometimes I nurse her while DH is getting her bath ready then he finishes her bedtime routine and puts her down, though most of the time I nurse her after he gets her pj's on.
