I would see if you could contact your local la leche league leader or if your hospital has a LC you can consult with? This seems like something they would know. Or anything on Kellymom?

My LO developed hives on her face yesterday and today and it was immediately after nursing so I'm inclined to believe it was something I ate.

The only new thing I've eaten in the past few days is scallop and shrimp so I think that's what is causing the hives. However, we did try broccoli with her yesterday (for the first time) as well. But I suspect that the shellfish is the culprit since its a more common allergen.

I know it can take 2-3 weeks before dairy exits your system, but how long does shellfish take? Should I pump and dump? Is there anything I can do to help get it out of my system faster? (e.g. chug water?)
