About an hour from tub to closed door. LO is 8 weeks. I nurse to sleep and usually he fights sleep for about 10-20 minutes. Though last night it was 3 hours between when I put him down and he fell asleep :X

Anywhere between 20 and 50 minutes to get them both bathed, read to, bottled, and in their cribs. Depending on the night, they will talk/fuss in their cribs for another 5-20 minutes.
This is a huge improvement from their newborn days, when it could take upwards of 2 hours :-S

Wow... these days it's fast with both boys. I'd say if I didn't have to nurse my youngest before bed time our bedtime routine (shower included) would be about 15 - 20 minutes max! And the same goes for my oldest. Pretty lucky so far... It did used to take a long time to get my oldest down b/c he would ask to read more and more and more and more and more books... These days he's so tired one is enough!

We don't do bath time as part of a nightly routine yet, so she just gets put to bed after her last little awake time. As soon as she yawns the first time I swaddle her up, stick the paci in, & turn on the white noise. I pat her butt & she's out cold in 5 minutes or less. I'm so nervous about moving her into her crib though... I know our current routine is going to change.

LO is a water baby, so her bath alone lasts 30-45 minutes, excluding drying/lotion/pjs/etc. But, from the time I take her to bed, lay her down and hold her hand (she needs me to hold her hand to fall asleep), it takes maybe 5 minutes to get her down for the night.

Bedtime is pretty easy; we do nurse, teeth, book, bed. He's usually asleep less than 10 minutes after without much fuss. He's terrible at 3 or 4 in the morning though...sometimes he's awake for an hour!

Starting with bath, it's about 30 minutes. The actual process of putting her down to sleep is pretty much instantaneous. We leave her in her crib and close her door. However, the process of bath + PJs and lotion + bottle + sleep sack easily takes 30 minutes. We're planning on dropping the bedtime bottle in another week or two now that DD is one year old, so hopefully the routine will get even shorter.

@Raindrop: We had the same problem until we sleep trained. We had a bit of a regression with travel. We'll have it again in a couple of weeks, so by May, he'll be back to sleeping normally.

Wow! My LO nurses for longer than most of these bedtimes (at night). Bath and books with DH takes 30 minutes nursing and going to bed with me usually takes 20-60 minutes depending how hard he works at getting extra letdowns. He's 4 months old. I'm so thankful that the whole process is usually easy an peaceful unlike a month or so ago!

Wow everyone so far has amazing sleepers! ^_^

We use to battle DS for a long time till we sleep trained him. We are talking like 2 hour sleep battles here where one of us would end up falling asleep with DS in the guest bed that's in his room which we believed was his master plan to have one of sleep with him.

Now tub to out the door is about 20 minutes or less.

Though sometimes in a blue moon he will need more than that - those nights usually take an extra 20 minutes which makes them about 40 minutes total. :)

I start his bath about 40 minutes before bed time so that he can play in the bath for a bit and there is enough time for a bedtime bottle and a story. Once he's in his crib, he usually falls asleep within 5 minutes or so.

I feel pretty lucky, he goes straight to bed.

He won't nap and is difficult to get to sleep if we're not home but as long as we're home, he's really great.

DS goes down immediately so it only takes 2 minute to turn on his fan and sing a song and into the crib. DD requires us to fall asleep with her so that is usually 10 min or longer...
