At 13 months it takes me about 5-10 minutes to read N books before bed, depending on how sleepy he is. We read before naps too and throughout the day because he loves it so much. I really have to limit the sleep time books or he'd let me read to him forever!

Ah, man. I am a total enabler. We often read to Ellie for about an hour at bedtime, and usually a little more reading at bath time. (So 15-20 minutes then).

Lorelei gets reading more sporadically, as she wants it, but I would estimate that she gets 45 minutes or more a day. A good chunk of that total is in the evening, but not contiguous. At least an hour if you include when she listens to Ellie's book at bath, but I don't really count that because she is otherwise engaged.

We love books at our house. Fortunately Lorelei has come around. ;)

20ish minutes? We usually do two books that are on the longer side. I'm always so tired by the end of the day so I try to fit in 4 or 5 books during the day time instead.

Probably less than 5 minutes for two books. We're still at the board book phase :)

It takes forever.... it would be 30 minutes or more if I let him, but I try to limit it to 15-20 minutes if I could. So after bath he knows it is storytime. I let him go pick out books from the shelf, and he'd bring the book to me. Everytime when 1 book is about to finish, he ran to get the 2nd one and hand it to me. That would continue to the 3rd/4th book and I would say ok this is the last book but he would usually ignore me. Finally I had to put him in his crib to read him his last book (4th or 5th). He'd be crying when I picked him up and drop him in the crib. sigh. I guess I should be thankful he loves to read so much.

Not long enough...I really wish she would pay more attention to books, but she just wants to flip through the pages.

As Charlie has gotten older, it seems like the books he enjoys are longer and longer. I used to read 3 books to him every night, but these days I usually read one or two books to him... and then tell him an extra story instead. Otherwise, it would take half an hour to read the three long books he picks every night!
